Keetwonen Amsterdam

The development of 1100 student houses in Amsterdam, near the prison “The Bijlmer bajes” was meant to be contemporary. The site was to be redeveloped within 10 years for housing and commercial building. Until that time, the site is in use for student housing. Part of the program was making use of shipping containers as spaces for student houses that could be sold and be re-used for another plot after 10 years. On the campus site there was also space for offices, little shops and café. All constructed in shipping containers.
